WHO WE ARE

Founded in 1999, Shannon Scott Design is an honest expression of who I am and what I believe interior design should be. It is my daring, assertive, and conscientious vision of a studio that never compromises on the excellence of our design work, the experience of our clients, or the dedication with which we operate.

The studio’s ethos is my response to our planet’s need for progressive and responsible enterprises; for concepts that challenge and push boundaries; and for people who desire luxurious spaces that speak to their soul.

Design has been my calling since I was 14 years old and continues to be my passion. Purpose and dedication, the foundation of my deepest core values, guide every endeavor I undertake. Vegetarian from birth, and an ethical vegan since 1997, both my life and my design choices are intentional and governed by sustainable motivation.

I am proud to be at the helm of a studio that designs spaces as beautiful as they are meaningful, and that brings together a team of outstanding designers and leaders who share my attention to detail and a deeply rooted commitment to excellence.

HOW WE GIVE BACK

For decades, Shannon dreamed of creating a sanctuary for farm and domestic animals. After finding the perfect property nestled in the rolling hills of Santa Ynez, her dream was finally realized. The first two founding herd members – Stewart the steer and Ellie the cow – arrived at Hidden Hollow Sanctuary in early 2020. Lenny, Squiggy, Moo Moo John, Destiny, Meekah, and Lucky have since joined the Moo family. The Pup 4-Pack includes Rufus, a Husky Shepherd mix adopted from the Humane Society in January of 2023, Willow, a Husky mix rescued from a high kill shelter in April of 2023, Bodhi the unknown mix adopted in November of 2023, and Serenity, a little white Siberian Husky rescued from a high kill shelter in July of 2024. Rounding out the Hidden Hollow four legged crew are The Littles’, Dimitris and Niki – kittens rescued and brought home from Greece by Shannon and her husband, Miles, in late 2021.

A portion of Shannon Scott Design’s profits go towards the formation and upkeep of Hidden Hollow Sanctuary. To learn more about the Sanctuary’s endeavors, please follow our sanctuary on Instagram: @hiddenhollowsanctuary
